Right of Way Property Management Services for Demolition and Removal of Improvements in Pickens

Background

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking bids from pre-qualified firms to provide Demolition and Removal of Improvements, Structures, or Other Encumbrances in the Right of Way or Easement Areas. This solicitation aims to identify qualified contractors who can fulfill the requirements outlined in the project scope. The contract will be awarded based on the lowest responsive and responsible bid received from a firm that meets all mandatory requirements.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the complete demolition and proper disposal of various structures and improvements as detailed in the solicitation. Specific items to be demolished include: 1. Parcel 2: Light standards and associated footings. 2. Parcel 5: 45 concrete posts/bollards, wooden post sign, and steel gate posts. 3. Parcel 14: Steel sign frame and post. 4. Parcel 22: Multiple concrete light standard bases/foundations. 5. Parcel 61: Concrete basketball court, picnic tables, steel frame stairs, utility pole, and light pole fixtures. All demolition debris must be disposed of properly in accordance with Georgia's solid waste management regulations. The work must comply with the Demolition Technical Specifications dated April 2018.

Period of Performance

The contract is expected to commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and must be completed within thirty (30) days unless modified by GDOT.

Place of Performance

The work will take place in Pickens County, Georgia, specifically at various parcels along Highway 53 West and other specified locations.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must hold prequalification status for Right of Way Property Management Services issued by GDOT. A bid response from any firm not currently listed on GDOT's prequalification listing will not be considered for award. Additionally, bidders must comply with drug-free workplace requirements and provide necessary insurance coverage as specified.
