Background

Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces (PROS) is seeking a qualified vendor to provide parking management services for the July 4th, 2026 event at Tropical Park. The goal of this contract is to ensure safe, efficient, and professional parking and traffic operations in coordination with County staff and public safety agencies.

Work Details

The vendor shall provide all labor, supervision, and operational support necessary to manage parking, traffic flow, and revenue collection. Services include traffic control, parking lot management, fee collection, pedestrian safety monitoring, and coordination with County staff and public safety agencies. Specific requirements include: - Approximately 18 hours of service on July 4, 2026, starting at 6:00 AM until approximately 10:30 PM. - Staff must be positioned in designated areas by 7:00 AM. - A skeleton crew must be present from 6:00 AM with full staffing during peak hours. - Coordination with two MDPD officers for traffic control. - Management of designated parking lots (P1 as primary) and overflow lots (P7, P4, P5, P6). - Provision of necessary equipment such as traffic cones and signage. - Rideshare operations management at the Park Office.

Bidder Requirements

The awarded vendor must provide a Certificate of Insurance for $1 million general liability with Miami-Dade County listed as an additional insured. Vendors must also comply with the Shannon Melendi Ordinance regarding background checks for all staff.
