2026 Concrete Program

Background

The Borough of Perkasie is issuing this contract for the 2026 Concrete Program, which aims to enhance public infrastructure by removing and replacing concrete curb, sidewalk, driveway aprons, and curb ramps at designated locations within the borough. This initiative aligns with the borough's commitment to maintaining safe and accessible public spaces.

Work Details

The contract includes a base bid and two alternate bids for the following work: 1. Removal and replacement of concrete curb at specified locations. 2. Removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk at specified locations. 3. Removal and replacement of driveway aprons at specified locations. 4. Installation of curb ramps at designated locations to ensure compliance with accessibility standards. All work must adhere to PennDOT Publication 408 specifications and Borough Standards.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a period defined in the Agreement, with specific completion dates outlined for substantial completion and final payment.

Place of Performance

The work will be conducted at various specified locations within Perkasie Borough, Pennsylvania.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to the Borough of Perkasie. The successful bidder is required to furnish proof of insurance, performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract amount, as well as a maintenance bond approved by the Borough. Bidders must comply with all applicable provisions of Act 89, Transportation (74 PA.C.S.) and Vehicle Code (75 PA.C.S.) Omnibus Amendments, as well as the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act for contracts exceeding $25,000.
