Line Trucks

Background

The City of Columbus, through its Department of Water & Power, Division of Power, is seeking formal bids to establish a contract for the purchase of two (2) Terex Commander 4047 47-foot digger/derrick trucks or approved equal. The purpose of this procurement is to enhance the capabilities of the Division of Power in performing maintenance and operations on distribution power poles. The trucks must meet specific requirements to ensure they are suitable for utility work.

Work Details

The contract involves the purchase and delivery of two (2) new and unused Terex Commander 4047 47-foot digger/derrick trucks or an approved equivalent. Each truck must have a minimum Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) rating of 33,000 lbs and be equipped with a utility body. Bidders must document their certified reseller partnership with the manufacturer and demonstrate experience in providing similar equipment and warranty service over the past five years. Additionally, bidders are required to provide references from at least four customers who have had contracts similar in scope and complexity. The trucks must comply with all applicable safety guidelines, including OSHA standards, EPA requirements, and other relevant regulations.

Period of Performance

The contract will be executed upon award and is intended for a one-time purchase.

Place of Performance

Delivery will occur at a location specified by the City of Columbus within its jurisdiction.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide proof of registration and good standing to do business in Ohio as per ORC Chapter 1703. They are required to submit documentation that includes experience in providing equipment and warranty services, references from previous clients, subcontractor information if applicable, and complete all necessary forms as outlined in the solicitation.
