Background

The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is an independent political subdivision of the State of Ohio, established to provide public transportation services. The RTA is soliciting bids for the Sprinkler System Periodic Testing, Inspections & Maintenance to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain operational efficiency across its facilities.

Work Details

The contract involves periodic testing, inspection, and maintenance of fire prevention sprinkler systems at various RTA facilities. The successful contractor will perform inspections in accordance with NFPA 25 standards and local regulations, including flow tests and hydraulic calculations. The contractor must provide an hourly rate and trip charge for corrective maintenance as needed. Facilities to be inspected include: - Wright Stop Plaza (85,500 sq ft) - 600 Longworth St. (355,000 sq ft) - 601 Longworth St. (85,600 sq ft) - 701 Longworth St. (4,160 sq ft under construction) - 901 S. Ludlow St. (120,020 sq ft) - Northwest Hub (51,200 sq ft). The contractor must have a minimum of ten years of experience in sprinkler system maintenance and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.

Period of Performance

The contract duration is set for sixty (60) months with the possibility of extension up to ninety-six (96) months based on RTA's discretion.

Ludlow St., Dayton OH 45402 - Northwest Hub - 2075 Shiloh Springs Rd., Trotwood, OH 45426.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must demonstrate a minimum of ten years of experience in testing and maintaining sprinkler systems in commercial settings. All work must comply with NFPA standards and local regulations. Bidders are encouraged to participate as Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), although there is no specific DBE requirement for this project.
