Cedarhome Dr & Park Dr Water Main Replacement Project

Background

The Cedarhome Dr & Park Dr Water Main Replacement Project is initiated by the City of Stanwood, Washington. It aims to replace existing water infrastructure to enhance the city's water supply system. The project includes significant improvements to the water main and stormwater systems, reflecting the city's commitment to maintaining and upgrading public utilities for its residents.

Work Details

The project involves replacing 3,000 linear feet (LF) of existing water main with 8-inch C900 PVC pipe and associated appurtenances. Additionally, it includes restoration work along Cedarhome Dr NW from Pioneer Hwy to 276th St NW, Park Dr from the Alley to Cedarhome Dr NW, and The Alley from Cedarhome Dr NW to 276th Pl NW. The stormwater system will also be upgraded with 550 LF of 12-inch HDOE single span storm pipe and new Type 1 catch basins. Specific tasks include: - Clearing and grubbing - Removal of cement concrete traffic curb and gutter (120 LF) - Removal of cement concrete sidewalk (370 square yards) - Installation of crushed surfacing base course (60 tons) and top course (240 tons) - Installation of high-density polyethylene pipe (560 LF) - Connection to drainage structures and existing water systems - Installation of various gate valve assemblies and fire hydrant assembly - Property restoration including topsoil type A (20 cubic yards), cement concrete curb and gutter (290 LF), pedestrian curb (125 LF), sidewalk (290 square yards), and pavement markings.

Period of Performance

The contract performance period is set for 105 days from the notice to proceed, which is expected to commence within five working days after award.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in Stanwood, Washington, specifically along Cedarhome Dr NW, Park Dr, and adjacent alleys as outlined in the project specifications.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a bid deposit of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid amount in the form of a cashier's check or surety bond. They are encouraged to solicit participation from minority and women-owned businesses. All bidders must comply with Washington State prevailing wage laws as well as provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the contract documents.
