Janitorial Services for New Education Building

Background

The Department of Administration (NCDOA), Facility Management Division, is responsible for providing efficient, healthy, and safe janitorial services for State buildings. This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks proposals from experienced and qualified vendors to provide janitorial services for the New Education Building located at 301 N Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27601. The intent of this solicitation is to award an Agency Specific Term Contract.

Work Details

The vendor will provide daily cleaning services that include all necessary labor, supervision, materials, and equipment to maintain the building professionally. Specific tasks include: - Cleaning offices - Cleaning restrooms - Maintaining common areas The vendor must also submit a written work plan detailing the cleaning methods, personnel assignments during shifts, equipment inventory lists for general cleaning and emergency services, and a proposed schedule for major maintenance tasks such as floor maintenance and restroom deep cleaning.

Period of Performance

The contract will have an initial term of one year starting on August 1, 2026. The State has the option to renew the contract for up to two additional one-year terms.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at the New Education Building located at 301 N Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27601.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must be registered with the North Carolina Secretary of State and provide evidence of this registration within 10 business days upon notification of award. Vendors are required to conduct criminal background checks on all employees proposed to work under this contract. Additionally, vendors must demonstrate experience with similar contracts involving buildings of comparable size (minimum of 191,609 sq. ft.) and complexity.
