Firestone Park Project

Background

The City of Columbiana is issuing a solicitation for construction inspection and administration services related to the Firestone Park roadway improvements project. This project aims to enhance the infrastructure within the city, aligning with its mission to improve public spaces and ensure safety for residents and visitors. The estimated construction cost for this project is $1,186,086.00.

Work Details

The contractor will provide construction inspection and administration services for approximately 0.64 miles of roadway improvements at Firestone Park. Specific tasks include: - Sidewalk and drainage installation - Removal and storage of brick gutter for reuse - Pavement replacement - Installation of pavement markings and signage. The consultant must ensure compliance with ODOT’s Construction Administration Manual of Procedures and provide a qualified project team including at least one Project Inspector Level 1 and one Construction Engineer Level 2 on a part-time basis as needed.

Period of Performance

The project is scheduled to be sold by June 1, 2026, awarded by July 1, 2026, with construction expected to begin in August 2026 and be completed no later than November 2026.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed in Columbiana County, specifically at Firestone Park in the City of Columbiana.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must meet prequalification requirements set by ODOT for construction inspection activities. Only individuals (not firms) can be prequalified for these activities. The prime consultant and all subconsultants providing engineering and design-related services must also be prequalified in Financial Management System Evaluation. Firms that are currently suspended or debarred from federal contracts are not eligible to bid.
