Background The FY28 Fire Control Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) contract is issued for the purpose of development, sustainment, production, and operations support. The contract aims to provide comprehensive technical, engineering, and logistics support services for the U.S. and UK SSBN Fleets as well as the U.S. SSGN Fleet. The agency is focused on ensuring operational readiness and reliability of fire control systems and associated subsystems. Work Details The contractor will deliver various support services categorized under different CLINs (Contract Line Item Numbers): - **CLIN 0001 – SWS OPS Support & SSBN Inactivation (LOE)**: Technical, engineering, and logistics support services in accordance with Ordinance Directive (OD) 45500 and SP23 Shipboard Systems Operational Support. Responsibilities include performance evaluation, logistics, reliability maintenance support for the U.S. and UK SSBN Fleets, field engineering services for Fire Control Systems (FCS), annual cyber-security reviews, management of Authorization to Operate (ATO) processes, and logistical support for the inactivation of OHIO Class submarines. - **CLIN 0002 – AWCS OPS Support & SSGN Inactivation (LOE)**: Similar to CLIN 0001 but focused on the Attack Weapons Control System (AWCS) for the U.S. SSGN Fleet.
