The VA is seeking potential vendors who have the ability to provide monthly site visit services for maintenance of Automated External Defrillator devices at VA Office of Information Technology (OIT) facilities throughout the contiguous United States.

Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information Technology (OIT), Space and Facilities Management (SFM) is responsible for the Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) program for ten OIT managed facilities. The goal of this contract is to engage a contractor with the necessary expertise to provide maintenance and support for Automated External Defibrillator (AED) devices deployed at these facilities, ensuring compliance with medical oversight and emergency management services. Work Details The contractor will provide medical program oversight, emergency management services notification/registration, prescriptions, monthly AED inspections, consumable supplies, technical support, and maintenance for 28 AED devices. Specific tasks include: 1. Providing medical prescriptions from a licensed physician for each AED device; 2. Issuing a certificate of medical oversight for all AED units; 3. Offering post-event support including data collection and counseling after AED deployment; 4. Documenting post-event data within specified timelines; 5. Developing an AED Response Protocol outlining deployment requirements; 6. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local AED laws through regulatory support. Place of Performance The services will be performed at various locations across the contiguous United States including Albany NY, Austin TX, Eatontown NJ, Hines IL, Martinsburg WV, Oakland CA, Philadelphia PA, Quantico VA, and Shepherdstown WV.
