Background

The Greater Bridgeport Community Mental Health Center (GBCMHC) is an 8-story mental health facility located at 1635 Central Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. The facility spans approximately 144,000 sq. ft. and accommodates around 100 in-patients full-time, alongside providing out-patient services. The Department of Administrative Services/Construction Services (DAS/CS) is seeking a qualified Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) to oversee renovations and improvements to enhance safety and compliance within the facility.

Work Details

The scope of work includes: - Installation of a code-compliant sprinkler system for the building. - Installation of a new building fire pump. - Provision of one new exterior emergency generator along with an associated fuel storage tank. - Upgrades to HVAC systems. - Related building repairs and finish restoration. - Site modifications which include constructing a bituminous driveway, making utility modifications if necessary, creating a new curb cut, and restoring the lawn area.
