Background

The City of Austin is seeking a contractor to provide delivery services for a 38% sodium bisulfite solution to its Water Waste Treatment Plants. This contract aims to ensure the availability of necessary chemicals for effective water treatment operations, supporting the city's mission to maintain clean and safe water for its residents.

Work Details

The contractor will deliver a 38% sodium bisulfite solution in 330-gallon intermediate bulk containers (totes) on an 'as needed' basis. The delivery must comply with specific safety and regulatory standards. This includes providing a notice of chemical delivery that details the chemical type, delivery time, truck description, and driver information. The contractor is responsible for ensuring that all deliveries are made safely and in accordance with local regulations.

Period of Performance

The contract will be executed upon award and will continue as needed based on the requirements of the Austin Water Waste Treatment Plants.

Place of Performance

Deliveries will be made to various Austin Water Waste Treatment Plants located within the City of Austin, Texas.

Bidder Requirements

The contractor must provide a Certificate of Insurance verifying coverage as specified in the solicitation. Insurance must include Worker’s Compensation, Commercial General Liability, Environmental Impairment/Pollution Liability, and Business Automobile Liability Insurance with minimum coverage limits outlined in the solicitation. All insurance policies must be written by companies authorized to do business in Texas with an A.M. Best rating of B+VII or better.
