The Law Enforcement Safety and Compliance Directorate (LESC), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), intends to solicit proposals in response to request for proposal (RFP) 70B06C26R00000072 Firearms Mounted Sighting Systems, also known as Optics. The Government intends to make a single indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract award resulting from this solicitation. However, the Government reserves the right to make additional awards if it would be in the Government's best interest. The anticipated contract will be issued with a five (5) year ordering period. All salient characteristics and terms are defined in the attached statement of work (SOW), which is included with this Request for Proposals (RFP). The RFP is issued as a Small Business Set Aside. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332994, (Small Arms, Ordnance, and Ordnance Accessories Manufacturing), is determined to be appropriate for this project. This contract aims to support the mission of officers and agents within CBP and other agencies within DHS. The contract will be awarded and administered by CBP, with a focus on enhancing operational effectiveness through reliable sighting systems. Work Details The contractor will provide Firearms Mounted Sighting Systems that meet specific performance and technical specifications outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). Key requirements include: - All items must be permanently marked with individual, legible serial numbers visible when mounted on a firearm. - Each item must be packaged in a box displaying its make, model, serial number, and associated barcode. - The vendor must provide administrative support including customer service, shipping (FOB destination), and invoicing/payment support. - Technical specifications must address all requirements listed in the SOW.
