Description This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 127EAX26Q0036 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Carson National Forest to furnish & install (1) Electronic sliding gate at the existing entrance to the El Nogal Campground, on the Camino Real Ranger District. Additionally, furnishment & installation of (1) electronic sliding gate at the entrance to the Canon Administrative Site, on the Camino Real Ranger District is included in this contract. With an additional option for the Fabrication and Delivery of (3) Swing Gates to the Canon Admin Site. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. Background The Carson National Forest, part of the USDA Forest Service, is seeking a contractor to enhance security at two locations within the Camino Real Ranger District by installing electronic gates. The goal of this contract is to provide improved access control at the El Nogal Campground and the Canon Administrative Site. Work Details The contractor shall furnish and install (1) electronic sliding gate at the El Nogal Campground entrance and (1) electronic sliding gate at the Canon Administrative Site entrance. Additionally, there is an option for the fabrication and delivery of (3) swing gates to the Canon Admin Site. Specific requirements include: - For the El Nogal Campground gate: - Driveway width = 30 feet - Roller posts/support posts: 4” x 1/4" Pipe, set in concrete, with integral-bearing rollers - Gate Frame: 2” x 4” 11 gauge with 3/4" pickets, black finish - Gate Operator: LiftMaster CSL24UL Commercial Operator with safety features including photo-eyes and electric-edge, plus battery backup. - KPW250 Keypad for admin use. - (1) Exit Loop and (2) presence loops. Power for the gate will be installed separately. The gate must be installed in the 'open' position. - For the Canon Administrative Site gate: Similar specifications as above but with a driveway width of 20 feet. - Option Item: Fabrication of three single-arm swing gates, each a minimum of fourteen feet in length, with accompanying locking posts eight feet in height. Period of Performance The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the award and complete it within 30 calendar days. Place of Performance The work will be performed at two locations in Taos, New Mexico: El Nogal Campground and Canon Administrative Site.
