Background The VA Boston Healthcare System is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive preventive maintenance and emergency repair services for Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) systems at the Jamaica Plain VA Medical Center. The UPS systems are critical for ensuring backup power for essential patient care systems. The contract aims to maintain these systems according to manufacturer specifications. This solicitation is set aside 100% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. Work Details The contractor shall provide all supervision, personnel, materials, parts, equipment, supplies, labor, and transportation necessary to perform preventive maintenance and emergency repair services on the UPS systems. Key tasks include: - Conducting preventive maintenance twice a year with visits spaced approximately six months apart. - Providing 24/7 emergency callback service with a two-hour response time. - Covering all parts except consumables like batteries and capacitors. - Including individual fan failure as a repair item. - Performing software/firmware updates as part of the PM services. However, any software/firmware upgrades requiring hardware changes will be handled separately. The contract includes known corrective maintenance as per line item estimates. Period of Performance The anticipated period of performance is from June 30, 2026, through June 29, 2027. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the Jamaica Plains VA Medical Center located at 150 South Huntington Avenue, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
