Dawson Pool Rehabilitation Project

Background

The Dawson Pool Rehabilitation Project is initiated by the Town of Holden, Massachusetts, aimed at rehabilitating the Dawson pool facility. The project is subject to Massachusetts bidding laws, specifically General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended.

Work Details

The scope of work includes: - Rehabilitation of the 7,285 square foot family pool; - Repairs to the pool; - Replacement of approximately 420 linear feet of pool gutter and wall; - Replacement of the pool collector tank; - Replacement of the family pool zero entry; - Partial replacement of site piping; - Complete replacement of the entire pool deck; - Addition of site drainage; and - Selective repairs to the family pool slide assembly. Alternate No. 1 involves reducing pool decking and site drainage as specified in the plans.

Period of Performance

Substantial completion is required by April 26, 2027, with final completion by May 24, 2027.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at the Dawson Pool Facility located in Holden, Massachusetts.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check amounting to five percent of the bid. The selected contractor must furnish a performance bond and a payment bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by Massachusetts law apply to this project.
