DOC NCCF Air Handler Replacement and Condenser Coils Unit A and B

Background

The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is issuing this solicitation for the removal and replacement of air handling units and condensers in living units A and B located in the education building at the North Central Correctional Facility in Rockwell City, Iowa. The goal of this contract is to enhance the HVAC systems within the facility to ensure proper air circulation and temperature control, aligning with the agency's mission to maintain safe and secure correctional environments.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Removal of existing air handling units in living units A and B. 2. Replacement with new air handling units as specified in the project documents. 3. Removal of existing condenser coils associated with these units. 4. Installation of new condenser coils as per specifications. The project requires adherence to specific construction standards and may include additional maintenance services as outlined in the bidding documents.

Period of Performance

Construction is anticipated to begin on September 1, 2026, and conclude by November 17, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the North Central Correctional Facility located at 313 Lanedale, Rockwell City, Iowa 50579.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a bid security bond amounting to 5% of the total bid amount. They are required to comply with affirmative action/equal employment opportunity provisions as mandated by both State and Federal laws. Additionally, bidders must submit subcontractor information for Targeted Small Business Enterprises as part of their bid submission.
