DOC NCCF Air Handler Replacement and Condenser Coils Unit A and B

Background

The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is issuing a solicitation for the removal and replacement of air handling units and condensers in living units A and B located in the education building at North Central Correctional Facility, Rockwell City, Iowa. The project aims to upgrade the HVAC systems to improve efficiency and reliability within the facility.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies necessary to complete the following tasks: 1. Remove existing air handling units and associated refrigerant piping. 2. Install three new cooling-only DX fan coil units to replace two old units and salvage one unit for handover to the owner. 3. Replace condensing units as specified in the plans. 4. Ensure that all work complies with applicable building codes and standards, including the Iowa State Building Code.

Period of Performance

The anticipated period of performance for this contract is from September 1, 2026, to November 17, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at North Central Correctional Facility located at 313 Lanedale, Rockwell City, Iowa 50579.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered with the Iowa Labor Commissioner as a contractor as required by Chapter 91C of the Code of Iowa. Additionally, bidders must comply with all affirmative action/equal employment opportunity provisions of both state and federal laws.
