Background The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division (SWD), Tulsa District (SWT) is issuing a commercial solicitation for the inspection and certification of fire suppression systems at the Robert S. Kerr Marine Terminal. This contract aims to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations related to fire protection systems, thereby enhancing public safety and operational readiness. Work Details The contractor shall inspect, test, and certify fire extinguishers, CO2 units, and the fixed fire control panel and CO2 system on the M/V Mister Pat. The inspection will cover the Kiddie FM 200 CO2 control system with 7 100lbs bottles located at the Marine Terminal. Additional inspections will include fire extinguishers and CO2 units located at the Marine Terminal, M/V Mister Pat, M/V Ozark, and Crane Barge. Inspections must comply with OSHA Fire Protection Standards, USACE Safety and Health Requirements, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards, and manufacturer’s instructions. A report detailing applicable violations and the general condition of inspected items will be submitted post-inspection. Each inspected system will be labeled with the current inspection date and initials. The contractor must coordinate with a government employee during inspections at designated locations including Robert S. Kerr Lock and Dam 15 Marine Terminal, Chouteau Lock and Dam 17, and Newt Graham Lock and Dam 18. Period of Performance Work will be completed no later than 15 days after the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Work hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding Federal holidays. Place of Performance Robert S. Kerr Marine Terminal (Sequoyah County, OK), including locations of M/V Mister Pat, M/V Ozark, and Crane Barge.
