Summary (Newest Update)

Background The U.S. Forest Service, specifically the Gila National Forest, is seeking to rent a structural tent to house fire supplies for Incident Management Teams during the 2026 Fire Season. Due to federal budget constraints, the solicitation was delayed until now. The contract aims to ensure that necessary supplies are adequately housed and accessible during fire management operations. Work Details The contractor will provide a 100' x 100' clear-span tent without center poles or support beams, allowing for unobstructed movement of equipment such as forklifts. The tent must have side panels on all four sides, with a maximum height of 12 feet. Roof panels should be translucent or clear to allow natural light. The structure must be securely grounded and able to withstand strong winds. If any fasteners are released due to wind, it is the contractor's responsibility to address safety issues promptly. The tent will be erected at the Silver City Interagency Support Cache located at 158 Airport Road, Hurley, NM, and must be operational from May 15, 2026, through August 31, 2026. All components of the tent must be removed upon contract completion. Period of Performance The contract period will commence upon award and run until August 31, 2026. Place of Performance Silver City Interagency Support Cache, 158 Airport Road, Hurley, NM.
