Background The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration, is issuing this contract to obtain services for trash collection at the Leavenworth National Cemetery. The mission of the National Cemetery Administration (NCA) is to honor Veterans and their eligible family members by providing final resting places in national shrines and lasting tributes that commemorate their service and sacrifice. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all waste management services are performed in a safe, timely, environmentally responsible manner while adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Work Details The Contractor shall perform the following tasks: 1. Collection, transportation, and disposal of solid waste at Leavenworth National Cemetery. 2. Ensure all services are conducted in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. 3. Provide all necessary management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies required for refuse and recycling services as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). 4. Maintain high standards of care and respect for the cemetery environment and the remains interred therein. 5. Adhere strictly to the specifications of the Operational Standards and Measures provided in the attachments. Period of Performance The period of performance will be one base year with four one-year options if exercised from the date of award.
