Custom Doors & Frames

Background

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Care and Treatment Services (DCTS) is seeking bids to contract with up to four vendors for the furnishing and/or installation of custom doors, frames, accessories, warranty-covered repairs, and repairs not covered under warranty. These services will be required at all seven DCTS facilities: Winnebago Mental Health Institute, Wisconsin Resource Center, Southern Wisconsin Center, Central Wisconsin Center, Mendota Mental Health Institute, Sandridge Secure Treatment Center, and Northern Wisconsin Center. The DHS aims to provide effective treatment and care across these facilities.

Work Details

The contractor will provide the following services: - Furnishing and installation of custom metal doors and frames including stainless steel and aluminum options. - Compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes for all metal doors located within a firewall. - Installation of solid core wood doors with specific types determined by facility designees. - Provision of accessories such as hinges, locks (including motorized and electronic), door closures, and hardware that meet NFPA codes. - Tagging of fire door assemblies as per Underwriters Laboratory standards. - Repairs and servicing for all doors and frames used in these services. - Coordination for measurements prior to installation and providing quotes within five business days post-measurement.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective from the date indicated on the purchase order or execution date of the accompanying contract for one year, with an option to renew for four additional one-year terms upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at seven DCTS facilities located in various regions across Wisconsin:

Northeastern Region

Winnebago Mental Health Institute, Wisconsin Resource Center.

Southeastern Region

Southern Wisconsin Center.

Southern Region

Central Wisconsin Center, Mendota Mental Health Institute, Sandridge Secure Treatment Center.

Western Region

Northern Wisconsin Center.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must demonstrate they are authorized distributors/dealers with installation capabilities for specified manufacturers. They must comply with minimum mandatory requirements including performing services within the United States only. Vendors are also required to submit a Bidder Reference Form listing at least three similar projects completed in the last three years.
