The Capital Region Airport Commission (the 'Commission') is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia and owner/operator of Richmond International Airport. The Commission is seeking to procure IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) services to support the secure collection, data destruction, and environmentally responsible recycling or remarketing of retired IT assets across multiple departments.
Vendors shall provide comprehensive IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) services meeting or exceeding the requirements. Key components include: 1. **Collection & Logistics**: Coordination of pickup of retired IT equipment from Richmond International Airport with a minimum of 72 hours’ notice; all services performed during business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.); provision of all labor, transportation, and equipment necessary for removal; maintaining clean loading and work areas. 2. **Security & Chain of Custody (MANDATORY)**: Documented chain of custody from pickup through final disposition; GPS-tracked transport vehicles; signed manifest at time of pickup documenting asset count and type; compliance with airport security requirements. 3. **Data Destruction (MANDATORY)**: Sanitization or destruction of data-bearing devices per NIST SP 800-88 Revision 1 standards; provision of serialized Certificate of Destruction (CoD) for all applicable devices within 15–30 days of pickup. 4. **Asset Categorization & Processing**: Capable of processing Tier 1 (High Value / Remarketing Eligible) assets such as servers, switches, laptops, desktops, tablets, and network equipment; Tier 2 (Recyclable) items including monitors, keyboards, cabling, docking stations, and peripherals; Tier 3 (Hazardous Materials) including lead-acid batteries and regulated components. 5. **Environmental & Reporting Requirements**: Ensure environmentally responsible recycling practices; provide reporting on total weight diverted from landfill, carbon footprint savings if available, and final downstream disposition of materials.
