Background The US Coast Guard (USCG) Base National Capital Region’s Command Safety and Security Division is tasked with ensuring physical security, anti-terrorism, force protection, and personnel security for the USCG Headquarters. This contract aims to provide routine locksmith services within the facility to support these security objectives. Work Details The contractor shall perform locksmith services at the DHS Saint Elizabeth campus once a week. Responsibilities include: - Creating and duplicating keys using onsite tools and equipment. - Pinning high-security cylinders and performing combination changes. - Maintaining knowledge of all normal and high-security lock mechanisms used in the facility. - Conducting maintenance and repair of government-furnished equipment (GFE). - Performing installation, repairs, servicing, and rebuilding of various types of locks and safes, including GSA containers. - Managing key control systems, including maintaining physical security of key control files and calculating new key codes. - Complying with all applicable government regulations regarding safety, security, and conduct while on government property. - Attending mandatory training sessions related to security awareness and handling sensitive information. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a period of one year from the date of award with two additional one-year options available. Place of Performance Primary location is the Douglas Monroe Building (building 50) at the DHS Saint Elizabeth Campus, 2703 Martin Luther King Avenue SE, Washington D.C., with a secondary location at USCG Senior Leader housing on Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling.
