Background

The Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) is seeking bids for fresh produce to supply its correctional facility kitchens. This Documented Quote (DQ) is intended to establish a contract for the provision of these goods, ensuring that the facilities are adequately supplied with quality produce.

Work Details

The awarded bidder will be responsible for supplying fresh produce as specified in the accompanying Exhibit D-Price Quote. All food products must be properly labeled, meet USDA standards, and be date coded. The brand awarded will be the brand expected for delivery; substitutions will not be accepted. Deliveries must be made to various correctional facilities on specified dates: - Buena Vista Correctional Complex (BVCC) by May 18, 2026, prior to 12:00 Noon. - Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility (AVCF) and Central Warehouse (CCCW) by May 19, 2026, prior to 2:00 PM and 9:00 AM respectively. - Denver Women’s Correctional Facility (DWCF), Denver Reception & Diagnostic Center (DRDC), and Limon Correctional Facility (LCF) by May 20, 2026, prior to specified times. All items are to be F.O.B. Destination with no additional shipping costs or taxes paid by CDOC.

Period of Performance

The anticipated start date for the purchase order is May 13, 2026, with deliveries scheduled for specific dates thereafter as outlined in the work details.

Place of Performance

Deliveries will take place at multiple locations across Colorado including: 1. Buena Vista Correctional Complex, Buena Vista, CO 2. Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility, Crowley, CO 3. Central Warehouse, Canon City, CO 4. Sterling Correctional Facility, Sterling, CO 5. Denver Women’s Correctional Facility, Denver, CO 6. Denver Reception & Diagnostic Center, Denver, CO 7. Limon Correctional Facility, Limon, CO

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with accessibility requirements as per Colorado Revised Statutes and provide proof of insurance coverage as required before executing a purchase order. Bidders must also confirm registration with the Colorado Secretary of State and may need to provide documentation if they are a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).
