Background The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE), under the Department of the Interior (DOI), is seeking to award a contract for Occupational Therapy Services at Tohaali Community School. The goal of this contract is to provide necessary therapy services to students, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The contract is set aside for Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEE). Work Details The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary for occupational therapy services. Key tasks include: - Conducting occupational therapy evaluations for referred students; - Attending initial placement or multidisciplinary team meetings; - Advising teachers on therapy program implementation; - Meeting with students regularly to suggest carryover strategies into their home environments; - Completing comprehensive reviews of student records; - Ensuring evaluations are non-discriminatory and comply with IDEA; - Providing reports within two weeks of evaluations; - Maintaining logs of therapy sessions and mileage; - Submitting monthly invoices for services rendered; and - Ensuring confidentiality of all materials produced under this agreement. Period of Performance Base Year: August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. Option Year 1: August 1, 2027, to July 31, 2028. Option Year 2: August 1, 2028, to July 31, 2029.
