Provide Dairy Bar

Background

The Office of General Services (OGS) is issuing this solicitation on behalf of the Department of Agriculture & Markets for the construction of a Dairy Bar at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY. The goal of this contract is to provide comprehensive construction services including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work as part of the overall project aimed at enhancing facilities at the fairgrounds.

Work Details

The project consists of separate contracts for: 1. Construction Work (C) - estimated between $2,000,000 and $3,000,000. 2. HVAC Work (H) - estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. 3. Plumbing Work (P) - estimated between $500,000 and $1,000,000. 4. Electrical Work (E) - estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. Each successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond for 100% of the contract amount.

Period of Performance

The substantial completion date for this project is August 6, 2027.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with New York State Executive Law Article 15-A promoting MWBE participation with goals set at 30% overall for MWBE participation in construction work. Specific goals include 15% MBE and 15% WBE participation. Additionally, there are SDVOB participation goals set at 6% for C trade contractors, 3% for E trade contractors, 3% for H trade contractors, and 3% for P trade contractors.
