Work Details

The contractor is responsible for removing existing pavers and replacing them with a concrete slab measuring 12 feet by 10 feet. The scope of work includes: 1. Removal of existing pavers, wood, and earth; 2. Cutting away any shrubs, roots, or stones that interfere with the work; 3. Compacting the subgrade; 4. Placing a minimum of 4 inches of compacted crushed stone (NYS DOT 304-1, type 4); 5. Installing reinforcing wire mesh (6"x6" W1.4xW1.4 WWM) at a depth of 2 inches; 6. Pinning into existing concrete using #4 bar at specified intervals; 7. Pouring a minimum of 5 inches of air-entrained concrete with a minimum compressive strength of 4000 psi; 8. Consolidating and finishing concrete surfaces to produce a uniform finish; and 9. Applying anti-curing and anti-spalling compounds after finishing.
