Background

The Erie County Water Authority is issuing a request for bids for the construction of a new Line Maintenance building at the Sturgeon Point Water Treatment Plant in Derby, New York. The project aims to enhance the facility's operational capabilities by providing a dedicated space for maintenance and storage.

Work Details

The project includes four prime contracts: General Construction, Plumbing Construction, HVAC Construction, and Electrical Construction. The scope of work involves constructing a new detached post and beam garage and storage building, which will feature open storage bays and an enclosed conditioned maintenance bay. Specific tasks include: - Constructing a conditioned storage bay with a new toilet room, doors/door hardware, and a new roll-up coil door. - Installing new utilities including water supply, gas supply, electrical supply with load center panel, lighting, and low voltage pathways. - Creating a new concrete pad for cold patch and a gravel lay-down area for pipe storage. - Performing site work that includes constructing a new access road, an underground storm detention system, bioretention areas, and associated appurtenances. - Installing a SAN grinder pump with structure for the garage building and relocating existing storm and sanitary systems to accommodate the new systems.
