CUNY Queensborough Community College High Temp Hot Water Piping Replacement between Admin and Science Bldg and HazMat Abatement

Scope of Work

The contract requires a single prime contractor to provide comprehensive construction services for the replacement of the high temperature hot water piping between the Administration Building and the Science Building at Queensborough Community College. The project also includes hazardous material abatement in associated rooms. All work must be performed while the campus is occupied, necessitating careful scheduling and coordination of all trades to ensure timely project completion. The contractor is responsible for delivering all work as specified in the Contract Documents.

Background

The project will take place at the Queensborough Community College campus, located in Bayside, Queens, New York. The construction cost is estimated to range between $2,000,000.00 and $3,000,000.00.

Contract Requirements

- The contractor must coordinate all trades and manage the project on an active, occupied campus. - The successful low bidder is required to execute a Project Labor Agreement ("PLA") as a condition of contract award, as detailed in Section 18.0 of the Information for Bidders and included in the Contract Documents. - All subcontractors, at every tier, must also agree to be bound by the PLA.
