Seal and Overlay Services

Background

The Mississippi Transportation Commission is issuing a solicitation for seal and overlay services as part of their mission to maintain and improve transportation infrastructure. The goal of this contract is to seal and overlay approximately 16 miles of MS 501 from SR 18 to the Scott County Line, enhancing road safety and longevity.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for sealing and overlaying approximately 16 miles of MS 501, specifically from SR 18 to the Scott County Line. This project is identified as Project No. SP-0333-00(014) / 109047301 in Smith County. The work must comply with the Mississippi Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, including adherence to predetermined minimum wage rates as set forth by the Secretary of Labor under Public Law 87-581, Work Hours Act of 1962.

Period of Performance

The contract performance period begins upon award and is expected to be completed by May 08, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed on MS 501 from SR 18 to the Scott County Line in Smith County, Mississippi.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a bid bond signed or countersigned by a Mississippi Agent or Qualified Nonresident Agent, along with a Cashier’s check or Certified Check for five percent (5%) of the bid payable to the State of Mississippi.
