Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing a contract for coconut tree pruning, removal, and disposal services at Kalaupapa National Historical Park in Molokai, Hawaii. The goal of this contract is to maintain the health and safety of the park's environment by managing the coconut tree population, which includes approximately 400 trees. The selected contractor will be responsible for the supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to complete the tasks outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Work Details The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and incidentals necessary to prune, remove, and dispose of vegetative debris from up to 200 coconut trees annually as designated by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). The specific trees will be identified and marked by the COR during each performance year. Services include: - Pruning of coconut trees to promote health and safety. - Removal of all resulting debris from pruning activities. - Proper disposal of vegetative waste according to environmental regulations. - Compliance with all specifications outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Period of Performance The contract period of performance is from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029. This includes a base year followed by two option years for continued services.
