Background The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE), part of the Department of the Interior (DOI), is responsible for providing educational services to Native American students. This solicitation seeks to provide Psycho-Diagnostic Educational Services at the Tohaali Community School, located in Newcomb, New Mexico. The goal is to assist in implementing special education and related services as mandated by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA). The contract aims to improve academic achievement for students with disabilities and ensure compliance with federal regulations. Work Details The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to provide Psycho-Diagnostic Educational Services at Tohaali Community School. Specific tasks include: 1. Observing, screening, and evaluating students referred by the child find team; 2. Assessing and planning treatment for qualifying students; 3. Participating in multi-disciplinary teams to develop Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and making placement recommendations; 4. Conducting diagnostics/psycho-educational assessments within specified timelines; 5. Providing technical assistance to teachers regarding evaluation results and service provisions; 6. Participating in planning conferences for initial and re-evaluations; 7. Maintaining administrative records in compliance with policies; 8. Collecting data for report generation and analyzing program impacts; 9. Complying with all federal mandates and BIE policies.
