Background

Bucks County Community College (BCCC) is seeking bids for the Boiler House Deaerator Tank Replacement Project located at their Newtown Campus. The project aims to replace the existing deaerator tank system and associated components, ensuring compliance with standard building codes and construction practices. Work Details

The selected Prime Mechanical Contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Removal and disposal of the existing deaerator tank. 2. Supply and installation of a new deaerator tank. 3. Modifications and reconnections of piping. 4. Installation of structural supports and anchoring. 5. Electrical and control connections, including BAS Automation integration. 6. Insulation and finishing work. 7. Startup, testing, and commissioning of the new system. 8. Final project close-out, including submission of As-Built drawings and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.

Period of Performance

The project is scheduled to commence upon receipt of a written Notice to Proceed from BCCC, with substantial completion expected by August 14, 2026, and final completion by September 4, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at Bucks County Community College, located at 275 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a ten percent (10%) Surety Bid Bond with their submission. They must comply with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and all applicable laws regarding insurance, bonding requirements, and prevailing wage rates as specified in the solicitation documents.
