TPW Median Maintenance

Background

The City of Dallas is issuing this Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals (RFCSP) to establish a three-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) service price agreement for median maintenance services. The goal of this contract is to maintain the aesthetics and safety of public spaces within the corporate boundaries of Dallas, Texas. The services include mowing, litter removal, landscaping, and herbicide application.

Work Details

The contractor will provide median maintenance services including: 1. Mowing: Smooth and even cut of grass to a maximum height of four inches; 2. Litter Removal: Removal of all trash, litter, debris, and foreign objects from designated areas before mowing; 3. Edging: Edging adjacent to improved surfaces with a rigid blade edger; 4. Line Trimming: Trimming around poles, trees, and fixed objects; 5. Weed Control: Removal of weeds from joints and cracks in paved areas; 6. Clippings Management: Immediate removal of clippings from paved areas using hand/backpack blowers; 7. Ditch Maintenance: Mowing along inclines and trimming as necessary; 8. Irrigation Damage Repair: Immediate repair of any irrigation damage caused during maintenance; 9. Handwork Services: Includes trimming, pruning, or clearing vegetation as needed; 10. Trash Can Service: Removal and relining of trash receptacles at designated locations.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective for three years with two optional one-year renewals.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed within the corporate boundaries of Dallas, Texas.

Bidder Requirements

Proposers must have a minimum of three years' experience in similar services, including completing at least 1,500 acres of litter removal and median mowing every 14 days. Proposers must provide verifiable references from municipalities or large government agencies and demonstrate capability to perform scheduled and unscheduled services throughout the contract duration.
