Background

The Grandparents & Other Relatives as Parents Caregiver Program (GORP) is initiated by the Dane County Department of Human Services. The program aims to provide education, support, resources, and skill-building opportunities for caregivers who are grandparents and other relatives raising children. This initiative aligns with the Older Americans Act, Title III-E, and the Wisconsin Aging Network Policy Manual.

Work Details

The selected provider will deliver various services under the GORP program, including: - Education and skill-building opportunities for caregivers. - Peer support activities. - Resource navigation to connect caregivers with community services. - Monthly support groups (virtual or in-person). - Outreach efforts targeting communities of color to increase participation. - Mandatory elements include providing information about available services and assistance in accessing these services while maintaining partnerships with community agencies.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective for one year from the execution date, with an option to renew for four additional one-year periods based on mutual agreement.
