Background

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, through the Executive Office of Public Safety & Security, Military Division, is seeking a contractor to perform an air compressor replacement at the Joint Base Cape Cod Fire Station located at 132 Richardson Rd, Camp Edwards, Buzzards Bay, MA. The project is subject to the availability of funds and appropriation, with an estimated contract value of $40,000. The goal is to replace the existing air compressor system to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment, labor, parts, materials, supervision, and other support services to complete the following tasks: 1. Disconnect and safely make all electrical connections to the existing compressed air system. 2. Remove and dispose of the existing air compressor, dryer, and storage tank. 3. Install a new 15HP rotary screw compressor (Atlas Copco GA11VSDS FF), integrated dryer, and a 200 PSI storage tank (LV120-200 Samuel Pressure Vessel). 4. Wire the new compressor system for full operation. 5. Ensure all permitting and inspections are completed, including a pressure vessel inspection. 6. Clean up the work site daily and upon completion.
