Background

Sudbury Public Schools is seeking qualified, licensed contractors for the General John Nixon Elementary School Roof Replacement Project. The goal of this contract is to demolish and replace the existing roof system while also making structural improvements to accommodate future photovoltaic (PV) solar panel installations. Work Details

The work includes: 1. Demolition and replacement of the roof system at General John Nixon Elementary School located at 472 Concord Rd, Sudbury, MA 01776. 2. Structural improvements for future PV solar panel installations. 3. Associated architectural work, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work necessary for the completion of the project. Specific categories of work include: - Division 4 – Masonry - Division 7 – Roofing - Division 22 – Plumbing - Division 23 – HVAC - Division 26 - Electrical.

Period of Performance

The work is expected to commence upon contract execution and must be completed by August 21, 2026.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be DCAMM-certified as Prime in General Building Construction. All bidders are required to submit an updated DCAMM Prime/Filed Sub-Bid Certificate and Update Statement with their bid. A bid deposit equal to 5% of the total bid amount is required, and the successful bidder must furnish 100% Payment and Performance Bonds.
