Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to enhance fire safety training for its healthcare facilities. The goal of this contract is to provide a digital fire extinguisher training system that aligns with the Joint Commission’s Environment of Care standards, which require organizations to implement effective fire response plans and ensure staff competency in fire safety procedures. This initiative aims to improve staff readiness and response during emergencies, thereby ensuring patient safety and compliance with accreditation standards. Work Details The contractor shall deliver a comprehensive digital fire extinguisher training system, specifically designed for thorough fire safety instruction. The system must accommodate training on all three classes of fire (A, B, C) and offer multiple difficulty levels. The complete package should include the following components: 1. Simulated Fire Training Vision Panel 2. Utilization equipment for remote setup, user manual, and power supply/cables 3. Panel Transport Case 4. 5lb Dry Chemical Laser Extinguisher 5. RACE Station Kit with charger 6. Extinguisher Transport Case 7. Emergency Response Station Kit with transport cases. All materials, shipping, and labor costs are to be included in the contract. Period of Performance Delivery is required within 8 weeks from the award date, concluding upon successful delivery of the equipment. Place of Performance The equipment will be delivered to the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Activity located at 400 Fort Hill Ave., Canandaigua NY 14424.
