Background

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) 521143,2 for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract focused on maintenance painting of apartments and public spaces, including stairwell painting. This contract aims to ensure the upkeep and aesthetic quality of various developments across all five boroughs of New York City. The goal is to provide consistent and high-quality painting services to enhance living conditions in public housing.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for maintenance painting of apartments, both interior and exterior, as well as public spaces including stairwells. Specific tasks include: - Application of various paint systems (1 coat, 2 coats, and 3 coats) for different room sizes (1-room to 9-room apartments). - Use of FRP & Silicate Systems for stairwell painting. - Compliance with NYCHA's specifications for preparation and application processes. - Enrollment of NYCHA residents as apprentices in accordance with the Apprenticeship Program requirements. - Submission of performance and payment bonds totaling $5,000,000 upon contract award.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award notification and will continue until the maximum value of work is reached or until terminated by either party under the terms specified in the contract.

Place of Performance

Work will be performed at various developments located throughout all five boroughs of New York City.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must pre-qualify as an 'Approved Supplier via NYCHA Technical Services Paint Program' and appear on the active approved vendor list. Bidders are required to submit a completed Pre-Qualification Application Package to NYCHA for evaluation. Additionally, bidders must provide evidence of insurance as per the requirements outlined in the RFQ. The contractor must also comply with apprenticeship program requirements, enrolling one resident apprentice for every $500,000 of contract value.
