Service and/or Repair of Refrigeration Units

Background

The Passaic Board of Education, located in Passaic, New Jersey, is seeking bids for the service and/or repair of refrigeration units as part of its operational needs for the 2026-2027 school year. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all refrigeration units are maintained and repaired to support the food services division effectively.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive service and repair for refrigeration units utilized by the Passaic Board of Education. This includes routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and any necessary parts replacement to ensure optimal functioning of the units. Specific tasks may include checking refrigerant levels, inspecting electrical components, cleaning condenser coils, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and is expected to cover the duration of the 2026-2027 school year.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various locations within the Passaic City School District in New Jersey.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with New Jersey's business registration requirements and provide a valid Business Registration Certificate. Additionally, bidders are required to submit a bid bond equal to 10% of the total bid amount (not exceeding $20,000), along with a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Contractor Questionnaire/Certification. Bidders must also adhere to affirmative action requirements as outlined in N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq.
