Background

The Passaic Board of Education Food Service Department aims to procure Unitized (over-wrapped) Breakfast Kits for the School Year 2026-2027. This initiative is part of their commitment to providing nutritious meals to students, aligning with their mission to support educational success through proper nutrition.

Work Details

The contract involves the delivery of various types of Unitized Breakfast Kits, including but not limited to: 1. Cereal Breakfast Post Honey Bunches of Oats (WG) - 1 oz., WG graham crackers, 1/2 cup equivalent shelf stable 100% fruit juice - 44,160 kits. 2. Cereal Breakfast Kit General Mills Reduced Sugar Cinnamon Toast Crunch - 1 oz., WG graham crackers, 1/2 cup equivalent shelf stable 100% fruit juice - 44,160 kits. 3. Cereal Breakfast Kit Post Honey Scooters Cereal (WG) - 1 oz., WG graham crackers, 1/2 cup equivalent shelf stable 100% fruit juice - 33,120 kits. 4. Yogurt Parfait Breakfast Kit Upstate Farms - 4 oz Fat Free Vanilla Yogurt (1 M/MA), WG Granola Packet, and 1/2 cup Fruit Dried Cranberries (Refrigerated) - 44,160 kits. 5. Muffin Breakfast Kit - WG Corn MINI LOAF (Thaw N Serve) - 2 oz WG equivalent. Each item must comply with New Jersey Right to Know Law labeling requirements and include Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) with the first shipment.

Period of Performance

The contract term is from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance

Deliveries will be made to various locations within the Passaic Board of Education district in New Jersey.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with New Jersey's Affirmative Action requirements and submit a valid Business Registration Certificate. Each bid must include a bid bond or certified check for ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount, not exceeding $20,000. Bidders are also required to submit a Statement of Ownership Disclosure form and a Non-Collusion Affidavit.
