Perishable Food Providers

Background

The Ocean County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualifications from vendors to provide perishable food items for a one-year contract, with an option to renew for an additional year. The County participates in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program, emphasizing the purchase of domestic commodities or products as defined by federal regulations.

Work Details

Vendors are required to provide and deliver a variety of perishable food items to the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center. The items may include: - Fresh meats - Fresh produce - Fresh dairy - Cold cuts - Fresh eggs Dairy deliveries must occur twice a week between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Other perishable food deliveries can also be made up to twice a week during the same hours. There are no minimum delivery amounts or delivery charges. Proposals must include details about the experience of assigned individuals, their ability to perform tasks timely, support staff descriptions, and all required documents from the Vendor Questionnaire.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a one-year term with an option for renewal for one additional year.

Place of Performance

Deliveries will be made to the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center located in Ocean County, New Jersey.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must have a minimum of two years of experience in providing perishable food. They must submit proposals electronically and comply with various certifications including those related to investment activities in Iran and non-involvement in prohibited activities in Russia or Belarus. Additionally, vendors must possess a valid Business Registration Certificate and comply with insurance requirements as specified.
