Background

The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is issuing a solicitation for the replacement of the upper parking lot at the Department of Public Safety Post 13, located at 1300 S Grand Ave, Suite 201, Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Work Details

Topsoil stripping and respreading (161 CY). 3. Excavation of existing soil (210 CY). 4. Subgrade preparation (1418 SY). 5. Installation of modified subbase (1418 SY). 6. Installation of a 4-inch trenched tile (60 LF). 7. Installation of a cast iron downspout boot (1 LS). 8. Construction of PCC pavement (1307 SY) with a minimum compressive strength of 4,000 PSI. 9. Removal and replacement of sidewalks including various classes and specifications (totaling approximately 188 SY). 10. Installation of detectable warnings (12 SF) and traffic signs including ADA compliant signage. 11. Seeding and landscaping work including sod installation (230 SY) and hydraulic seeding (0.3 AC). 12. Mobilization and maintenance of postal service during construction.

Period of Performance

The contract performance period will commence in late summer or early fall 2026 and must be completed no later than October 16, 2026.
