The contract for Cremation Services aims to support the Anatomical Gift Program by partnering with a vendor capable of providing whole body cremations.

Work Details

The successful bidder will provide cremation services for the Anatomical Gift Program, which may involve up to 200 cremations per year. Services include: - Whole body cremations only; partial body segments, blood, or tissues are excluded. - Transportation of bodies in heavy-duty bags and cardboard boxes, which can be cremated as a single unit. - The vendor must accommodate requests for up to 4 cremations in a single day if needed. - Bodies will typically be embalmed but may also include fresh bodies that require refrigeration until cremation.

Period of Performance

The contract will be for a period of one (1) year, with potential extensions based on performance and mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at the vendor's crematorium facility, with transportation required from the University at Buffalo to the facility.
