Work Requested

The New York State Office of General Services (OGS) is seeking proposals from qualified retail vendors to develop and operate a retail goods and/or services concept in Room 111, located on the Main Concourse of the Empire State Plaza in Albany, NY. The primary objective is to offer employees and visitors a diverse selection of unique and affordable services during the Plaza's hours of operation. OGS is especially interested in services that are not currently available on the Main Concourse. Proposers are encouraged to: Submit creative and innovative ideas, themes, and design examples for the retail space Provide concepts that address unmet needs within the Plaza Tour the facilities prior to submitting a proposal Note that any capital improvements required for the space will be the responsibility of the Vendor, unless otherwise negotiated Who is Requesting This solicitation is issued by the New York State Office of General Services (OGS).

Background

The Empire State Plaza is a prominent government complex in downtown Albany, New York, surrounded by several office buildings that collectively house approximately 13,000 tenants. The Plaza is anchored on the north by The New York State Capitol and Legislative Office Buildings, increasing the daily population by at least 5,000 during the Legislative Session. The south end features the New York State Museum within the Cultural Education Center. Room 111 is situated on the Main Concourse, a central and highly trafficked area within the Plaza.

Contract Requirements

Proposals must present a retail goods and/or services concept for Room 111 Services offered should be unique and affordable, and ideally not currently available on the Main Concourse Vendors are responsible for all capital improvements unless otherwise negotiated Proposers should include creative ideas, themes, and design examples in their submission
