Snow Removal Services- Badger Prairie Healthcare Center

Background

The County of Dane is seeking proposals for snow removal services at the Badger Prairie Healthcare Center, which operates 24/7. The goal is to ensure safe access for staff during shift changes throughout the year, including weekends and holidays. The contract will be awarded based on the proposals received in response to this solicitation.

Work Details

The contractor will provide comprehensive snow removal services, including: 1. Snow removal from all designated areas as indicated in the site maps (Attachment A). 2. Salting and sanding of driveways, parking lots, loading areas, and sidewalks as needed after snow removal. 3. Maintenance of safety standards during operations and reporting any damages caused during snow removal activities. 4. Ensuring that snow between parked cars is removed as much as feasible and that snow is piled in designated locations. 5. The contractor must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with comparably sized facilities and provide adequate staffing and equipment to maintain access during snow events.

Period of Performance

The contract term is anticipated to begin on September 1, 2026, and will run through August 31, 2031, with potential renewal options subject to mutual agreement.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must attend a mandatory site visit on May 28, 2026, at 9:00 AM. They must also submit a W9 form signed within the past 12 months and comply with local vendor preference regulations which grant additional points for vendors located within Dane County or adjacent counties.
