Riverfront Transit Center Parking Services

Background

The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA), also known as Cincinnati Metro, is a regional transit authority established under Ohio law. SORTA provides a range of public transportation services including fixed-route mass transit, paratransit, and micro-transit across the City of Cincinnati and surrounding counties. The agency is seeking a qualified parking management firm to provide parking services for the Riverfront Transit Facility (RTC), located between Central Avenue, Third Street, and Pete Rose Way. This contract aims to enhance parking operations at the facility over a five-year term.

Work Details

The contractor will manage daily parking operations for automobiles on both the east and west sides of the RTC, which includes approximately 160 spaces on the east side and 140 spaces on the west side. Services include:

1) RTC Daily Parking Operations

24/7 management of parking areas, setting prices, and collecting revenue;

2) RTC Special Events Parking Operations

managing automobile and charter bus parking during events at nearby venues such as US Bank Arena and Paul Brown Stadium; processing charter bus reservations; providing attendants to assist with parking; monitoring activities during events; and ensuring compliance with operational guidelines;

3) CBD Parking for SORTA Employees

providing secured parking for up to 20 SORTA vehicles within walking distance of headquarters. The contractor must maintain cleanliness, manage utilities related to signage and toll booths, and indemnify SORTA against claims arising from operations.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a period of five years.

Place of Performance

The primary location for performance is the Riverfront Transit Facility (RTC) in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Bidder Requirements

Proposers are encouraged to include small and disadvantaged businesses in their proposals but formal subcontracting goals are not set as no subcontracting opportunities are anticipated under this solicitation. Proposals must include evidence of required insurance coverage including worker's compensation, general liability, automobile insurance, crime coverage, and professional liability insurance.
