Tree Trimming & Tree Removal Services

Background

The Medford Housing Authority (MHA) is issuing a multi-year contract for tree trimming and tree removal services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and safety of trees at various family and elderly public housing developments in Medford, MA. The total contract amount shall not exceed $250,000.00 over a period of three years.

Work Details

The contractor will provide routine and emergency tree trimming and tree removal services at various family and elderly public housing developments in the City of Medford. Services include on-site tree trimming and removal, with the requirement for the contractor to be available on-site as scheduled by MHA. Additionally, the contractor must be capable of responding to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, within three hours if needed.

Period of Performance

The term of the contract shall be for three (3) years.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at various family and elderly public housing developments located in Medford, MA.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed contractors. Bids are subject to Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) c30, § 39M regarding public contracts and minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c149 §§26 to 27H for work performed on any state development. The Federal Davis Bacon wage rates shall also apply. Bids must include a Bid Deposit that is not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount made payable to the Medford Housing Authority.
