Background

The Department of Labor (DOL) is seeking a Project Manager to support its highest priority initiative, which is the implementation of a unified Salesforce Licensing, Permitting and Inspection (LPI) system. This project aims to enhance key business functions and provide a modern digital experience while ensuring timely delivery of critical technology. The DOL's mission includes defining standardized business processes and improving overall service delivery through effective technology solutions.

Work Details

The contractor will provide project management services for the DOL Modernization Project. Responsibilities include: - Collaborating with various stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria. - Creating and maintaining project documentation such as charters, plans, status reports, and operational checklists. - Developing project work plans and schedules, identifying necessary resources. - Managing program scope, schedule, budget, and resources to meet business requirements with high customer satisfaction. - Facilitating technical support including architectural and compliance reviews. - Managing project issues and risks to prevent barriers to success. - Acting as the primary communication point between DOL, vendors, and other agencies. - Developing acceptance test plans and validating them with business stakeholders. - Ensuring team members have access to necessary systems for collaboration and testing.

Period of Performance

The engagement length is 6 months with the possibility of renewal. The overall project duration may extend from 1 to 3 years.

Place of Performance

Work will be performed at One Federal Street, Suite 600, Boston MA 02110. Remote work is allowed with a requirement for in-office presence 2-3 days per week.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a maximum of 3 resumes per vendor for the position of Project Manager at an all-inclusive rate not exceeding $100 per hour. Candidates must have relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) and experience managing complex IT projects.
